New WinMax Control Software Tops Hurco Latest Product List

Indianapolis, IN - Hurco Companies, Inc. will introduce five new products at IMTS 2006. According to Hurco, the development of WinMax Control Software is the most significant product announcement Hurco will make at IMTS in September. Other product introductions include Hurco Lathes with Live Tooling (TMM8 and TMM10), a swivel head 5-Axis machine (VMX42SR), the addition of the VMX60 vertical machining center, and an upgraded performance series for the VMX line.

WinMax Control Software, with a new Windows® based interface and 25 key new features and more than 200 enhancements, is specifically designed to slash setup time and improve surface finish, according to Hurco. The TMM8 and TMM10 Hurco CNC Slant-Bed Lathes with Live Tooling, integrated mill-turn machines are suitable for parts that require turning with minor milling operations, adds the company.

The other key product introductions revolve around Hurco's VMX series of vertical machining centers. The VMX42SR, Hurco's newest 5-Axis Vertical Machining center, has a swivel head with a horizontal rotary table. Hurco is also adding the VMX60 to its VMX series - 60 inches of travel in a condensed package, according to the company. Hurco will launch a new performance series VMX line including a standard 12,000 rpm spindle, 1,378 ipm rapid traverse, an extended warranty, and the new WinMax control, adds the company.
