Diversified Machine Systems Announces Renishaw Probing Integration On Fagor CNC Systems

Fagor Automation, a strategic partner with Diversified Machine Systems, original equipment manufacturer of DMS CNC Routers announces the Renishaw probing integration on their 5 Axis CNC Routers using the Fagor 8065 and 8070 CNC Control Systems.

Colorado Springs, CO (PRWEB) - Colorado Springs-based Diversified Machine Systems (DMS), manufacturer of 3 Axis CNC, 5 Axis CNC and Large Format Machine Centers is proud to announce that Renishaw probing integration is now offered on the Fagor 8065 and 8070 from Fagor Automation, a strategic partner of DMS.

At the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS), Fagor presented their integration with Renishaw’s probing solutions and contact tool setting software into their CNC automation controls – bringing together important machining functionalities into one solution.

The difference between standard cycles and the new Renishaw probing cycles is in the ability to automatically update work offsets and offer automatic reporting. This new functionality enables live screen reporting via Ethernet connection directly from the Fagor Controller.

The Renishaw probing integration on the Fagor Control Systems allows for automatic tool compensation for cutter composition. This gives improved availability for feature-to-feature measurements, such as angled measurements, and the tool’s setting cycles will achieve both length and diameter with automatic updating.

A team from Fagor Automation, including a member formerly with Renishaw, came to the DMS World Headquarters to train the DMS technicians on the new 8065 dual-core processing control features as well as installation, use and reporting with the new probing tool to further their education on the use of these components. This also allowed the DMS HQ to document the process for tuning and probing in-field training.

This enhanced functionality made possible by the Renishaw integration is now available on the Fagor 8065 and 8070 CNC Control Systems used on DMS 5 Axis CNC Machine Centers.
