MecSoft Releases VisualCAM Platform And Application Suite

Irvine, CA - MecSoft Corporation announced recently the release of VisualCAM 1.0, a platform for hosting CAM (Computer Aided Manufacturing) applications. It also announced two fully integrated plug-ins VisualMILL 6.0 and VisualART 1.0 for VisualCAM 1.0.

VisualCAM 1.0 will serve as the base platform for all future company products utilizing a plug-in architecture for on-demand loading of file translators and applications. In addition to this, new CAD features such as solid modeling and dimensioning have been incorporated. VisualCAM also includes a published SDK (Software Development Kit) to enable easy creation of 3rd party plug-in applications.

VisualMILL 6.0 is an upgrade to the renowned VisualMill 5.0 line of products. The initial release will be an upgrade to the VisualMill 5.0 Basic product with future products for 4 and 5 axis milling slated in the coming months. New machining methods and faster and more streamlined interaction are the main features of this product. With this latest set of enhancements and improvements VisualMILL 6.0 establishes the standard for price/performance in the CAM industry.

VisualART 1.0 features the ability to transform any 2D image into a beautifully sculptured native VisualCAM mesh geometry. This geometry can then be used as is or can be manipulated using VisualCAM's modeling tools to create complex designs with minimal effort.

Joe Anand, President and CEO of MecSoft says "We are pleased to bring to the market a new CAM platform and these two new exciting products for the CAM market. With VisualCAM's new architecture we will be able to create and deliver new products to our customers faster and easier, not only on the VisualCAM platform but on other 3rd party platforms as well. VisualMILL and VisualART are two examples of these type of cutting edge products that are raising the standards bar in the CAM industry."
