The new sumiBoron® BNC80 grade features a newly developed TiN based ceramic coating for improved surface finishes.
Multiple cutting edges and used corner identification are also featured. Sumitomo's BNC80 grade is recommended to run at speeds from 450 to 650 SFM, feed rates from 0.001 to 0.005 IPR, and depth of cuts from 0.002" to 0.006".
In a tool life comparison finishing 1045' 58HRC steel at a speed of 680 SFM and feed rate of 0.003 IPR, Sumitomo's BNC80 held the finish requirement nearly twice as long as the competitor.
The BNC80 is available in a variety of sizes for varying application needs.
