Sumitomo Introduces sumiDrillSystems Quality Drill and Toolholder Combinations
For high production drilling, sumiLock collets offer consistent accuracy and strong gripping force with a cost that is far more economical than a hydraulic chuck. Runout accuracy is 0.0004", or better, at 4" from the face of the collet.
TG collets have extreme holding power for production that can be increased without sacrificing accuracy. The accuracy of TG collets over 3/8" are guaranteed to be within 0.0005" at 4" from the face of the collet. Collets under 3/8" are guaranteed to be within 0.0005" runout at a distance of four times the collet I.D.
ER collets have almost three times the gripping power of double angle collets and 75% of the gripping power of a TG collet. The economical choice, ER collets over 3/8" are guaranteed to within 0.0005" runout 4" from the face of the collet. ER collets under 3/8" are guaranteed to be within 0.0005" runout, at a distance of four times the collet I.D.
Ideal for work with any NC or CNC machine, sumiLock coolant chucks can be used with carbide or even brazed drills. These coolant chucks flush out heat and chips at pressures of up to 300PSI. The use of coolant chucks lengthens tool life, increases cutting tolerance and allows greater feeds and speeds. Multiseal construction ensures precise trouble-free operation for their entire line of coolant chucks.
Extremely accurate, Sumitomo's drill holders extend tool life and ensure maximum feed rate capability. Unsurpassed production, material, and design technology allow Sumitomo Electric's tools to meet industry demands for effective and efficient drilling of steels, cast irons and exotic materials. New Carbide Drills are available in large to very small diameters and achieve a tool life of over 10 times that of HSS drills.
