Daewoo Machine Tools was founded in 1976. It entered into cooperative agreements with world-class manufacturers, including Kearney and Trecker, Chiron, Makino, Toshiba and Ikegai. Its initial family of machine tools included a broad selection of manual lathes and milling machines. Within two years, however, the company was able to introduce its first CNC lathe. Major capital investments in manufacturing equipment, Research and Development and technical agreements with other industry leaders resulted in a product line of more than 100 different machines, including turning centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers, robotics, EDMs and boring mills.

Today, Daewoo manufacturing facilities concentrate on sophisticated CNC machines. Each year, its factory produces more than 1,500 CNC machine that are then shipped to any of our 68 worldwide sales offices.

An important part of Daewoo Machinery Corporation is its Financial Services Division. This full-service, fully independent, captive finance company offers a variety of flexible financial services to its distributors and customers. Its programs are easy to engage, with each transaction tailored to the end user's needs.
