AMTDA Recognizes 17 New CMTSEs
The American Machine Tool Distributors' Association (AMTDA) recently awarded 17 individuals the designation, "Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer" (CMTSE). This group of successful candidates now stands at 729. More than 200 builder and distributor organizations from throughout the United States and Canada participate in the CMTSE program.
The Certified Machine Tool Sales Engineer program acknowledges individuals with a proven level of competence in machine tool sales through personal experience, education and testing. The CMTSE distinction is an acknowledgment by the industry of these individuals' understanding of the technical and administrative sales processes necessary to solve customers' manufacturing challenges. The CMTSEs must pursue periodic recertification by engaging in a variety of professional development activities designed to keep them current in machine tool sales and technology.
The CMTSE program is supported by AMT - The Association for Manufacturing Technology, the National Tooling and Machining Association (NTMA), the Precision Metalforming Association (PMA) and the Machinery Dealers' National Association (MDNA).
