Equipped with a new automated loading option, an ANCA RGX tool and cutter grinder is ideal for regrinding a wide range of HSS and carbide tools and as well as cost-effective low-volume manufacturing. Requiring minimum setup time, the RGX with auto loader dramatically increases productivity and reduces labor costs, making it suitable for regrind shops and in-house tool rooms.

In an industry first, piece-by-piece loading of a tool regrinding machine can be affordably automated, even if every tool in a batch is different. With ANCA's powerful ToolRoom software, only a minimum of parameters are needed to program the machine for each tool, key to fast set up. A smart probing system in the machine identifies each tool, automatically determining most tool geometry required for grinding.

Holding up to 40 tools up to 1" shank diameter and 6" long, the loading system utilizes sleeves which allow users to process a mix of tool shank diameters in a single job. ANCA's powerful OrderMate software allows different tool sizes and types to be quickly programmed. A single gripper picks up the tool and inserts it into a pneumatic chuck in the machine spindle.

The loader system fits neatly to the right side of the RGX, does not protrude out the front or rear of the machine, and preserves a small footprint for this very versatile and productive machine.

The 5-axis RGX regrinding machine features a bi-directional, direct-driven spindle, with two wheel packs accommodating up to three wheels per pack. This spindle design permits rapid spindle repositioning, and allows users to maintain two wheel pack setups within the machine for different tools and materials, such as HSS and carbide.
