Since its inception more than seven years ago, CMTSEs have commended the program for the unparalleled opportunity it provides to:

  • Learn about their chosen field and measurably demonstrate their knowledge;
  • Position themselves for greater professional development;
  • Enhance the status of their companies; and
  • Achieve industry recognition for this personal achievement.

    Many CMTSEs have reported deriving value from the exam preparation process alone, by reviewing the two-volume study guide, or tapes, which cover both sales and technology subjects.

    According to recently designated CMTSE William Miracco of Romi MachineTools, Ltd., "Overall, I feel the program is a ‘must' for anyone who wishes to have long term success in selling machine tools."

    For those interested in earning the CMTSE designation, which gained heightened visibility at IMTS 2000, there is still time to register for the nationwide exam on December 2, 2000. Registration forms must be received by the October 23, 2000 deadline and are available online at www.amtda.org/certification or by contacting AMTDA at 800-878-2683.

Our newest CMTSEs join more than 756 total CMTSEs who have earned this symbol of professional expertise.

Over 400 CMTSEs who earned the designation or recertified in 1997 are due for recertification on November 30. Those individuals may obtain a Score Card at www.amtda.org/certification or by contacting Certification Coordinator, Beth Gochrach by e-mail bgochrach@amtda.org for an Excel version. If you would like a hard copy of the Recertification Bulletin or have questions, contact AMTDA at 800-878-2683.
