The Machine Shop manufactures small to medium batches of components for a range of customers and industries although its main focus is the production of components for gas turbine and marine nuclear assemblies. The majority of components manufactured are items where high accuracy and quality standards are demanded and on time deliveries are expected as a matter of course. The combination of modern CNC machine tools, 3D solid modelling, Direct CNC links and a computerised production control system ensures our compliance with these standards.

Working alongside the CNC Milling, Turning and Grinding equipment is a comprehensive range of conventional machine tools, all maintained to the highest standards. The company believes that this traditional equipment operated by highly skilled craftsmen still has an important role to play in a modern manufacturing environment. The CNC equipment includes Machining Centres with 4th axis capability, Lathes with driven turret tooling and a Jones & Shipman Dominator Surface Grinder all linked to the CAD/CAM software.
