The Pullmax 4000 CNC punch press is designed to handle 4- × 4- × 0.25-in. sheets, features a new shape, and, with a different approach to usage, performance, and flexibility, represents a departure from traditional design.

New standard features include Orbit-Tool rotation for use with cassette tools, which increases the total number of tools that can be used to 120. Automatic laser clamp detection has been added for verification of clamp position and material location. Combined, these features increase throughput and minimize setup errors, according to the manufacturer.

The machine comes standard with a brush table for full capacity, all station auto indexing, hydraulic clamps, and a 15-station tool changer for up to 3-in. tools. The punch press accepts the Wilson 2-4-1 tool system, which has been designed to increase tool life compared to traditional tooling systems. The machine can also accommodate various tool systems from other manufacturers by utilizing the O.T.E. (Open Tooling Environment).
