The Rollerball tooling from Mate Precision forms ribs, flanges, and raised areas across the entire work surface of light gage sheet metal and extends the programming capabilities of CNC turret punch presses. Offsets and embosses are not limited to the station range.
Since the Rollerball uses a ball or sphere to create a deformation in the sheet metal, no restrictions are imposed as would be if there were an axis. With the Rollerball, ribs can be formed with an NC program to create near right angles without lifting the tool from the sheet metal.
The Rollerball tools is available in its Ultra Tec thick turret tooling line for Amada and other thick turret machines as well as in 112 or 114 style tooling for Murata Wiedemann punch press and Nova tooling for Finn Power punch presses.
