CNC Engineering's Certified Pre-assembled Retrofits (CPR) use state-of-the-art CNC controls, which bring new life to older machine tools, thereby increasing the return on the original investment. The new generation of controls has capabilities that far surpass those of older controls. The capabilities of current generation CNC controls include:
  • Digital servos with high precision absolute serial encoders to increase machine performance
  • Colored CRT or LCD displays to simplify machine operation
  • Ability to integrate a PC front end (Open Vision™ HMI)
  • Easy editing of part programs including advance editing functions
  • Faster execution of part programs
  • Advance control features such as a multitude of tool compensation and interpolation features
  • Ability to add touch probes
  • Ability to add additional axes
  • Ability to integrate into plant wide systems
CNC Engineering, one of the largest machine control retrofitters in North America, offers Certified Pre-assembled Retrofits (CPR) utilizing GE Fanuc controls. CPR packages are available for lathes, vertical turret lathes, machining centers, and a range of other standard and special machine tools. Many CPR packages can be installed in your facility in one to two weeks.

All retrofit packages are carefully designed using sound engineering practices while keeping operator convenience in mind. The CPR packages include a complete set of computer-generated documentation that, in many instances, exceeds that of the original equipment manufacturer. Copies of the documentation for each job are kept at CNC Engineering and an engineer is always available during business hours to help customer maintenance or manufacturing personnel with any problems or questions that may arise.

Local support through a growing Retrofit Integration Partnership (RIP) is also available in a wide variety of areas nationwide. CNC Engineering is actively looking to expand their RIP program with qualified companies that are willing to sell and install CPR packages. Full support through the entire process is provided.
