Charmilles Technologies Corp.m 35 die sinker EDM features the latest in automation technology in a small footprint of 26 sq ft. Charmilles Technologies Corp.m 35 utilizes Charmilles' Expert systems and a numerical control capable of true multi-tasking. Program-Expert automatically writes machine programs—from roughing to finishing—and selects the best technology for upcoming applications while the machine concurrently works on another project.

The new Pilot-Expert 3 software is based on a novel method of spark analysis, and provides optimal unsupervised operation. Power Control Expert allows Charmilles Technologies Corp.m 35 to continually self-adjust and avoid complications in the cut which could cause increased machining time and dull the geometrical details of electrodes. Charmilles' patented SPAC system automatically reduces the occurrence of short circuits, especially when using small undersizes.

This machine is equipped with micro-machining for increased profitability and reduction of manufacturing costs—especially for applications in the fields of connectors and micromechanics. A 32-position tool changer, a drop tank designed to provide full visibility and accessibility, auto-restart, and C-axis capability option make the machine one of the most complete machines in its class.
