DryLin N Linear Guide System

EAST PROVIDENCE, RI (August 15, 2000) - Since its introduction, the DryLin N from igus inc. has been widely accepted as an economical and space-saving alternative to re-circulating ball mini slides in many applications. A compact design makes the DryLin N ideal for space-limited applications and like all igus products, the entire line requires no external lubrication. This feature makes DryLin N ideal for environments laden with chips, lint, dirt and in applications requiring frequent washing. DryLin N operates quietly because the rolling elements have been replaced with sliding polymer and all DryLin N linear guides have been improved to include threading for mounting nuts, allowing components to be attached directly to the carriage. Furthermore, igus now introduces two new additions to the DryLin N line of linear guides:

• The DryLin N17 is a smaller version of our original with a height of only 6mm and a width of only 17mm. This smaller, lightweight guide also offers an all-polymer carriage for applications requiring 100% corrosion resistance.
• The DryLin N80 linear guide was designed especially for applications requiring only one carriage. This wider carriage (80mm) eliminates the need for drive force placement analysis. Standing only 12 mm high, it is ideal for compact applications such as material handling and robotics. Another advantage is the lightweight design since the shaft weighs less than 40 ounces per meter and the bearing weighs only 3.5 ounces. The N80 linear guide's fortified height and width can achieve a static load capacity of 1,000 N in every direction.
