Dual-head expanders that are custom designed for high volume production of shells for a variety of applications, including motor shells for automotive and appliance air conditioning compressors, or any product requiring a tubular, trapezoidal or any other structural profile cylinder such as electric motors and catalytic converters.
Dual-Head Expanders take a shell to an exact diameter and shape, all in one machine without any operator intervention. Cost savings result because the machine integrates the shell's manufacturing in one machine. A manual machine is shown. Motor sheet diameters ranging in size from 4 in. to 9 in. with lengths ranging from 8 in. to 16 in. in steel thickness ranges from 1 mm to 4 mm can be produced.
