EDM Technology Transfer

EDM TECHNOLOGY TRANSFER (EDMTT) was established in 1989 as a technical society dedicated to promoting the use and acceptance of Electrical Discharge Machining (EDM) through the exchange of technical and trade-related information between EDM manufacturers, users, distributors, researchers, or others interested in EDM technologies. We are an independent organization and are not affiliated with any EDM manufacturer or representative, nor do we endorse one company's EDM product over another but serve to promote the industry as a whole.

We publish the annual EDM Guidebook which is considered by many to be the single most comprehensive reference guide on the EDM industry and one of the highest quality industrial publications. The EDM Guidebook serves as a reference book on the EDM process and a buyers guide for EDM equipment, supplies, services and technical information. We also publish the EDM Technology volume series, which contains in-depth technical research and development reports from around the world.

EDMTT maintains one of the largest collection of information on EDM, which includes: reference books, conference proceedings and technical research reports covering virtually every phase of the EDM process. This information comes to us from research centers, universities, manufacturers, and individual researchers from around the world. This information can be used for EDM feasibility research, equipment justification, research projects, process improvement studies, and more. Our purpose and goal is to collect, document, and transfer this information to the manufacturing and EDM industry.
