High-speed, automatic tool change spindles feature a coupling which allows the spindle body and motor to remain mounted in the machine tool while the spindle nose with hybrid ceramic bearings is removed and replaced, perhaps with an extended nose for deeper machining.
This is the standard production line of high frequency, liquid cooled, milling spindles with normal frequency induction motors. These models should not be confused with spindles shown in the Vector Control section and manufactured by Step-Tec. Spindles have automatic draw bar systems with either ISO or HSK tooling and equipped with hybrid ceramic ball bearings.
