Gleason Corporation-Hurth ZH 125 CNC-E Gear Honing Machine is well suited for honing high-volume automotive gears. The machine can also handle mid to low-volume applications by applying the manufacturer's Spheric Honing. The manufacturer states that this honing process generates a high quality, final tooth geometry on hardened gears, while improving surface roughness and structure.
The machine also features high precision EGB for fully synchronized honing, three linear axes for spheric honing axes motions, and one circular axis for automatic repositioning of the honing tool cross angle setting.
