GibbsCAM sponsors Evernham Motorsports Dodge Dealers' NASCAR Winston Cup team
Moorpark, CA—Gibbs & Associates, developer of Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) software for programming Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machinery and controls, announced today their official product sponsorship of Evernham Motorsports, leaders of Dodge's NASCAR development program. This new partnership between Gibbs and Evernham, which extends through the 2002 NASCAR season, enables Evernham to use the powerful, yet easy to use, GibbsCAM CAM software in their race shop to machine parts for the company's NASCAR Winston Cup cars. Currently, Evernham fields the Dodge Dealers Intrepid R/Ts—#9 driven by NASCAR veteran Bill Elliott and #19 driven by rookie driver Casey Atwood, a rising star in NASCAR.
The North Carolina-based Evernham Motorsports will benefit from full training support, technical assistance and GibbsCAM product upgrades provided by Gibbs and Associates and their local North Carolina Reseller, Morningstar CNC Applications Engineering.
