High Precision CNC Cutter Grinder

MAKINO SEIKI - KGK International Corp.Seiki CNJ3-50 high precision CNC tool and cutter grinder is designed to grind tooling up to 13.7-in.-dia. and 25.6-in. in length with up to 2-in. shank diameters. The six-axis CNC machine can handle all common tool forms as well as many special forms including step drills. An optional CNC B-axis brings the machine to a full seven-axis CNC capability.

The grinder features the PC-based, real-time Makino Seiki Programming System (MSPS). Users can input the tool grinding data into the system via a series of question and answer screens, transmit the data to the Fanuc 16M control and the machine instantly responds to the data and creates or regrinds the tooling. If changes are required, users go to the screen where the change is required and the system immediately makes the corrections and regrinds the part. The manufacturer states that the software can reduce setup time by up to 50%. In addition, its optional 3-D programming software has the ability to locate possible interference or cutting errors prior to grinding.

Standard machine features include grinding wheel spindle temperature control, electronic touch probe, automatic fire extinguisher, oil mist collector, full enclosure, and a set of standard tools. Optional features include a 144,000°/min A-axis and a 20,000-rpm spindle.
