High-speed 5-Axis VMC

The machine's five-axis control, which creates greater spindle access to the part for accurate machining, comprises three direct-acting machine axes with two rotating axes on the workpiece side.

The two rotating axes consist of the tilting a-axis supported at both ends of the base and the rotating b-axis provided above it for high rigidity and accuracy. Machined finishes are said to be so superior that the need for EDMing and benchwork on dies and molds is virtually eliminated. Dies with intricate, contoured, and mirror-finish surface can be machined.

XYZ axis-travels are 35.4x19.7x17.7 in. (900x500x450 mm). Pallet size is 12.6x12.6 in. (320x320 mm) with a maximum workpiece size of 19.7 dia by 12.8 in. (500x325 mm). The maximum pallet load is 440 lb (200 kg). Spindle speed is 14,000 rpm with fast feeds at 50m/min in all three direct-acting axes.
