The NX76 horizontal machining center is designed for applications ranging from high speed finishing to heavy-duty machining. The NX76 comes fully equipped with a newly designed Orbit Boring function. The patent pending Orbit Boring function uses an angular position spindle and is synchronously controlled with the spindle center position on a circle, around the centerline. Boring heads are not needed, only a single tool is applied to machine various boring diameters.

Orbit Boring is suitable for flange surface, groove, and taper hole, tapered boss, spherical hole, and spherical boss cutting applications. The NX76 features 33.4x29.9x30.7 in. travels, 7/24 taper, 50/40 hp, and a rapid traverse rate and maximum feedrate of 1181 ipm. The NX76 model eliminates precise tool presetting and can correct automatically tool and thermal displacement.
