Horizontal Boring Machines

The SCHIESS series of Horimaster RAM-type CNC horizontal boring machines is designed for more demanding applications. The Horimaster is available in table type and floor type design and features an improved hydrostatic bearing system with increased speed and feed capacity for all axes as well as for optional table rotational axes. Powerful AC spindle motors guarantee highest cutting capacity for a master head spindle concept. Universal heads, right angle heads, CNC contouring facing heads, or many other spindle configurations are automatically exchanged in pick up cycle, making the machine tool universal for low power milling and high rpm drilling and tapping operations.

A full range of tables, floor plates, or other work holding devices are available. Thus, economical machines can be provided for all applications from simple boring mills to flexible machining centers, for full five-sided or five-axis machining of complex parts in a minimum number of setups. A full line of options includes tool probing, part probing, tool management, and CNC controlled facing heads.
