The Howa model HQ 40 horizontal machining center with an with a nearly 12" x 12" two station pallet system offers the highest productivity of all horizontal machining centers in the #30 and #40 tapered machine class.
It features a 10,000 rpm direct drive spindle with a through the spindle coolant system operating at 1,000 psi. The HQ 40 excels in productivity with the outstanding performance of its spindle acceleration/deceleration and tool change time, feed rate acceleration/deceleration and spindle change times. New, spindle motors deliver full horsepower throughout the entire spindle range so that axial acceleration and deceleration are 1g for reduced non-cutting time performance.
The HQ 40 features the Fanuc 18i-MA Series controls for enhanced data processing of programs and machine functions for improved productivity.
