The Model 47 Centerless Belt Grinding System is designed for production grinding or polishing of a cylindrical workpiece up to 2.75-in. OD. The compact machine is well suited for contract parts manufacturers producing engine shaft components or other parts made from bar stock, pipe, or tube.
The system's Robotic Finishing Cells utilize six-axis robots combined with equipment with abrasive belts or wheels, wire brushes and/or buff wheels to perform programmed grinding, polishing, buffing, satin finishing, and deburring operations. Applications include automotive components (including wheels), turbine blades, medical implants, plumbing and lock hardware, and investment castings.
