Sandvik Coromant Companypto quick-change modular toolholding system is designed to minimize dead time for tool change from the machining cycle, thereby contributing to machine utilization and productivity. According to the manufacturer, the system can provide reductions in setup time that typically add 50 hours per station per year of machine availability.
The system is well suited for OEM applications, especially with new generation turn-mill machines, and for integration into spindles of new machines. In addition, OEMs can use the clamping system for holding workpieces as well as tools, in applications ranging from pallet changing to gearhobbers.
