Kevin Roach Named Cimplicity Business VP
GE Fanuc Automation (Charlottesville, VA) has named Kevin Roach vice president of its Cimplicity software business, a $65-million division that provides automation software solutions.
"As Cimplicity software continues to expand in functionality, Roach brings the valuable capabilities needed to drive this business from plant floor automation to all levels of the enterprise," says Joseph Hogan, GE Fanuc president and CEO. "He is a proven leader who has successfully managed software, hardware, and integration teams in the development of solutions for industrial automation."
Prior to joining GE Fanuc, Roach founded and was president of SensorPulse Corp of South Easton, MA, an industrial I/O, signal conditioning and data acquisition product company. Roach was also president of Interactive Process Controls Corp, an automation systems integrator, and director of sales and marketing for T.W. Kutter Inc packaging and automation systems.
The GE Fanuc Cimplicity business is designed to take its customers "to the next level with Plant Floor-to-E-commerce integration," the company believes, and Roach supplies the new leadership and the entrepreneurial background needed for this "new economy."
GE Fanuc Automation is a leading global supplier of automation controls, including Cimplicity industrial automation software, micro to high-end controllers, a wide range of CNCs, motion control systems, and CO2 and YAG lasers.
