KOBELCO TOOLS Introduces Miracle End Mill Series, Available at Shinsho - Chicago

Kobelco's new line of Miracle End Mills, available at Shinsho, is capable of cutting material of HRC 50 - HRC 62.

The coating (AL,Ti)N, called "Miracle Coating," is a patented method of adhesion to the carbide end mill that results in an incomparable hardness. In fact, the Miracle Series has a hardness of HV3000 – 1.5 times harder than TiN coating.

In an application example using tool #VC-2MB (2 flute ball nose), size 3.0mm (.118") diameter for finishing on H-13 material with HRC 52, the Miracle End Mill will show wear of less than 0.002". Cutting conditions are as follows:

Other advantages of the Miracle Series include heat resistance up to 1800 degrees F and a longer tool life when compared to conventional carbide end mills (with or without coating).
