Marlin Steel Wire Purchases New 3d CNC Wire Bender With An Integrated Fanuc Robot To Keep Up With Export Demand
Marlin Steel Wire's business making wire forms and wire hooks is surging because of the USA company's quick delivery and innovative engineering. Marlin Wire's investment in the fastest CNC wire bending machine in the world (495 feet per minute; 150 meters per minute), a machine that can bend a wire 3600 degrees in a second, was required because Marlin Steel Wire has to meet surging export demand for wire forms. Like the first such bender that Marlin purchased, the CNC wire bending robot is complemented with a Fanuc robot that does secondary work for the bender, like butt welding, final wire bending, punching and material handling.

Marlin Steel has purchased two robots domestically in the last sixty days:
- Marlin Steel Wire purchased this robot from a Chicago manufacturer, a carbon copy of one they had bought less than one year ago.
- Earlier this summer, Marlin Steel purchased the world's fastest CNC Sheet Metal Punch that was made in Connecticut. This sheet metal forming robot forms and punches sheet metal, which has enabled Marlin Steel to take back over thirty jobs from a Chinese vendor for a Midwest buyer.
