Mazak CD-ROM Demos Key Support, Software, Tech Areas

Mazak Corporation (Florence, KY) is offering a free CD-ROM that demonstrates its customer support system, Fusion Monitor software, and Optimizer Technical Library. Once the CD-ROM is installed, the viewer can see how each program works. The customer support system shows the location of each Mazak Regional Technical Center. The Fusion Monitor software demonstrates the simplicity of interactive programming through the machine tool's CNC or a computer.

Mazak's Optimizer Technical Library covers operation, maintenance, parts and programming manuals for all its machine tools. The CD-ROM demonstration shows its usefulness for speed and interactively through integrated search engines. It eliminates printed manuals and can be disseminated through a company's Intranet service.

If the machine maintenance operation and part manual's button is selected, a photo of the machine tool along with a table of contents is displayed on the screen. The machine tool photo has call-outs around it such as electrical systems or hydraulic systems. By selecting the call-out, the program immediately takes the viewer to the desired section where system drawings or service information are available.
