At the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show, taking place December 7 - 9 at the Indiana Convention Center in Indianapolis, Mazak will demonstrate how its latest machine tools provide the speed, precision and processing flexibility necessary for the prototyping and production of components for racecars, trucks, dirt bikes, dragsters, boats and other high-performance vehicles.
Whether machining basic suspension brackets or processing complex engine parts, PRI attendees who visit booth 5755 will discover that Mazak has a diverse selection of machine tools ready to tackle any shop requirement. Applications engineers will also be available to meet with and discuss ways to reduce cycle times, maintain part consistency and boost productivity in fast-paced environments.
During the show, Mazak will highlight real-world part-cutting demonstrations on two of its advanced machines tools – the QUICK TURN 200 CNC Turning Center and the VC-500A/5X Vertical Machining Center. Representing different product lines, these models will showcase the various levels of manufacturing technology Mazak offers the racing industry, from basic turning machines to advanced multi-tasking solutions.
The QUICK TURN 200 brings together advanced technology, productivity and value to deliver exceptional speed, performance and precision to shops of all sizes. With a standard through-hole chuck package, this 2-axis machine efficiently processes a wide range of part sizes. At the PRI event, Mazak will pair the QUICK TURN 200 with automation to demonstrate how unmanned operation can help shops improve throughput and profits.
Ideal for shops that want affordable full 5-axis machining capability, the VC-500A/5X Vertical Machining Center efficiently processes complex parts up to 19.68" in diameter and 12" high. PRI attendees will see how the machine’s trunnion-style rotary/tilt table and MAZATROL SmoothX CNC allow for the cost-effective production of shifter knobs.
Mazak has unmatched experience developing machines and applications that win races. The company has been a Penske Racing technology partner since 1994 and, as such, provides the tools and training the organization needs to keep its parts manufacturing in-house.
