Mazak Laser-Cutting Machine Available For Demonstrations In California

Mazak Optonics Corporation recently installed the first flat sheet laser-cutting machine at Mazak’s Western Technology Center in Gardena, California—which primarily features machine tool technology, including turning centers, machining centers, multi-tasking, and hybrid multi-tasking machines. The installation provides fabricators on the West Coast access to live demonstrations on Mazak’s OPTIPLEX 3015 NEO 7kW laser-cutting machine.

Beginning February 2024, prospective customers can schedule a time to see live cutting demonstrations on the laser machine and connect with Mazak’s knowledgeable team to discover the latest in laser and automation technology.

Mazak’s OPTIPLEX NEO machines are available in a range of 4kW to 20kW power levels and 3015 or 4220 machine size options. Featuring beam shape and diameter control technology, NEO machines automatically adjust beam diameter to optimally cut various materials and beam shape to control the concentration and power density of the laser beam.

Large front and side access doors offer accessibility and ease of operation. The MAZATROL SmoothLx CNC on NEO features a large 21.5” screen and touch panel, allowing multiple applications to run simultaneously. Additionally, the CNC rotates, allowing operators flexibility to work at the front or side of the machine.

Mazak’s Western Technology Center will host an open house from Tuesday, May 7 to Thursday, May 9 for individuals interested in learning more about Mazak’s product offerings, including machine tool technologies, laser equipment, and automation solutions.
