The Ultra-Precision CNC mechanical collet chucks are said to be an effective alternative to hydraulic chucks. These holders are manufactured to 0.0003-in. TIR at 4-in. from gage line, using an ER-style ultra-precision collet.
With a clamping ratio of 25 to 1, the chucks employ an axial clamping design to eliminate radial/torsion stress and multiply the clamping force. The chucks are available in a variety of shank types including CAT, BT, JIS, VDI, and straight shank versions. All are available with flange-induced or thru-coolant options.
