The Meritage distributor network and its REM Sales unit have formalized an exclusive distribution partnership with CMS/Upgrade Technologies (Santa Ana, CA). CMS, a California builder, is a leading manufacturer of small machine tools including gang tool lathes, and compact vertical machining centers. The machines, each built on a polymer composite base, are designed for high feedrates and the ability to maintain exceptional accuracies. Gang tool lathes manufactured by CMS are available in several sizes including 1/2", 1" and 1 5/8" capacities with prices starting at $39,950. Vertical machining centers with a 25,000 rpm or 40,000 rpm capacity are also available. Several hundred CMS machines have already been installed in the field in a wide variety of industries.
