Milling Cutter Selection System

N/AMill system is designed to simplify the selection of the right combination of milling cutter, carbide grade, insert coating, top form geometry, and cutting fluid for the toughest milling operations. The 60-page, four-color brochure describes and illustrates selection process and criteria.

There are 11 different SpectraMill cutter designs including center cutting endmills, end & face mills, square shoulder mills, 45° facemills, copy mills, ball nose endmills, long edge mills, and lightweight high-speed face mills. Drawings and specifications are provided for each design.

The brochure illustrates and describes 19 different carbide grades with photomicrographs including Valenite MLCVD-coated grades, CVD-coated grades, plasma CVD grades, PVD grades, uncoated grades, and cermet grades. Each cutter description features a special selection guide that targets the workpiece material, type of machining, desired feeds and speeds, and the recommended carbide grade. A special technical section provides application guidelines and trouble-shooting suggestions.
