MillWizard

Delcam, the UK's leading developer of manufacturing software, has introduced MillWizard, a new entry-level machining product that will be sold and supported over the Internet. MillWizard represents exceptional value at only $250. It is also an extremely simple program, which can be used by anyone with the most basic computer and machining knowledge.

MillWizard is intended for companies using small milling machines or routers, and for hobbyists that need to machine models or moulds. It will also be suitable for schools and colleges that are looking for a basic program to introduce students to the fundamentals of computer-aided machining.

MillWizard allows the user to machine STL, 3D DXF and 3D Studio files. Toolpaths for roughing and finishing can be generated, in both cases using either end mill or ball nose cutting tools.

To enable prospective customers to see how easy it is to create 3D toolpaths with the program, an evaluation version is available for free download from www.millwizard.com. This version comes with a number of sample 3D models that can be cut on any machine at any size, using any of the supported cutting tools.
