The new wash down system, called “AT WD," is designed to remove machining chips from the inner walls of a machinetool, the machined part and the work holding tools. It can be adapted to fit most machines and it has an adjustable spray that ranges from a light mist to a powerful stream.

“It’s simple to use and very effective at removing chips from complex parts and hard-to-reach areas,” MP Systems Sales Manager Kermit Wright said.

The system comes with its own pump, allowing it to operate independently of the machine’s coolant pump system. Its automatic shutoff feature is adjustable, meaning users can change the amount of time the pump will run before it automatically shuts down.

The manual on/off hand control is magnetic for quick, easy attachment to machines.

“It’s affordable and built very well,” Wright said. “You could drop that nozzle from 30 feet and it wouldn’t break.”
