MTI Live Exhibitors Promise Something For Everyone At Stoneleigh Park

MTILIVE

With around four months to go before the doors open on MTI Live, the international exhibition for used machine tools, production and ancillary equipment, exhibitors are already indicating that the wide range of machines that will be on display, coupled with the comprehensive details of stock and complementary services also available at the show, means there will be something for everyone involved in machine tool acquisition and use on 25-26 May at Stoneleigh Park in Coventry, the heartland of British manufacturing.

With every company displaying its wares under the mantle of ‘affordable, high-quality used machines', MTI Live is living up to expectations as the only UK showcase that brings to life the cost-down benefits of used production technology without sacrifice to machine performance or workpiece quality.

Here's a round-up of what will be on show.

In addition to focusing on providing a complete after-sales service with its experienced service engineers, Capital Equipment & Machinery has an established reputation for excellence by selling top quality used CNC and conventional machines. The company is also the UK's largest supplier of lapping machines and Mikron gear hobbers, and always has a selection in stock of approx 50 CNC machines.

C Dugard Machine Tools is another formidable player in the used machine tool sector, having started in business in 1939, and today it offers a vast range of new, predominantly CNC, machines in addition to late model and fully guaranteed used machines for turning, milling, machining centre, grinding, drilling and boring

Chiviott Machine Tools has been supplying a wide range of quality used (and new) machine tools and sheet metalworking machinery for over 25 years and, holding an extensive stock of used machines, is able to meet most requirements. Service and repair facilities are also offered, along with tailor-made finance packages.

With around 1,200 machines in stock at any one time from three warehouses totaling 180,000 ft², Electro Motion UK will be supplying MTI Live visitors with details of all current models – whether for metalcutting, metalforming or woodworking applications.

Celebrating over 50 years in business, Frank Salt & Co is another company bringing its vast experience to the MTI Live showfloor. All the popular brands feature among its large inventory of machines – machining centres, CNC lathes, sliding head CNC lathes and multi-axis lathes included – such as Citizen, Daewoo, Emco, Hitachi Seiki, Mazak, Mori Seiki, Nakamura, Okuma, Star and Toshiba.

Specialising in sheet metal machinery, Hatfield Machine Tool Co will be demonstrating its 35 years' experience in used machines by spoiling visitors for choice in the selection of, for example, press brakes, punching machines, guillotines and laser cutters.

With a reputation for installing any power press anywhere in the world, International Power Presses' expertise rests with both mechanical and hydraulic presses rated at between 100 to 30,000 tons. The company is also adept at machine refurbishment, installation and commissioning, and information about these activities will also be on hand.

In addition to a range of cold saws, drills, grinders, hacksaws, lathes, sheet metalworkers and milling machines, J & M Machinery International is a specialist provider of bandsaws and it offers the complete range – auto pivot, semi-auto, manual horizontal, twin-pillar auto, twin-pillar semi-auto and vertical auto. Extensive stock lists highlighting all the popular machine types and brands (and the not-so-usual, too) will feature on most stands, and Moore Machinery International will be no exception. In addition, the company will be promoting how repairs and service to all machines is just one of a number of additional value-added services it provides.

Being agents for Geka, Imet, Ercolina and Bigstone, Multiform Machine Tool will be exhibiting used machines from these ranges, and Colin Eary will be on hand to help.

As well as offering an extensive variety of CNC and conventional turning, milling and grinding machines alongside EDM equipment, New England Engineering is one of the largest exporters of used plastics injection moulding machines. Having been established for over 30 years, New England has supplied metalworking and plastics machinery worldwide and, at MTI Live, partners Tom Heath and Brian Henshall will be available to help with any requirements.

Press & Shear is another well-known name in sheet metal machine circles and, of course, details of all available equipment will be presented. In addition, the company will be promoting its product support, service and spares and tooling services.

According to Dick Aldrich, sales director at RK International Machine Tools - another established supplier of a wide range of high-class used machines - the company is promising visitors "something very different to the norm" when it comes to exhibition displays. All will be revealed nearer the date!

Promoting itself as a one-stop shop for all punch press needs, RPA will have details of a wide range of punching machines – including the Danobat and Nisshinbo brands. Warranted rebuilds, tooling, service, training and software support are also offered.

With an established reputation in the provision of sheet metal equipment, solid forming and minting through to processes such as hydroforming, laser and plastics technology, the display being mounted by Schuler Presses UK will show visitors how a day spent at MTI Live will be an investment in itself.

In addition to the supply of CNC machines, mainly late model, Steven Mooney Machinery also undertakes factory moves as well as machinery collection and delivery. Details of these activities – as well as copies of the latest stock list – will be available.

Ward Hi-Tech is another that specialises in high-quality used CNC machines, and while details will be provided of the current Cincinnati, Correa, Doosan, Haas, Mazak, Nakamura, Takisawa and Toshiba, lathes and machining centres available, the company will also be promoting its Flexible Finance scheme, and the Wardsure extended warranty package that now offers machine damage and breakdown cover for up to seven years.

With two adjoining stands, XYZ Machine Tools will be highlighting its continuing commitment to the supply of affordable used machines by displaying a Mini Mill 560 – a compact vertical machining centre with a working envelope of 560 mm by 400 mm by 500 mm in X, Y and Z axes, respectively – alongside a ProTURN manual/CNC lathe and a ProtoTRAK manual/CNC mill.

In common with other exhibitors, managing director Nigel Atherton says customers can be confident that all pre-owned XYZ machines have been subject to stringent inspection and reconditioning procedures.

Every used machine undergoes a comprehensive quality check before despatch and XYZ customers also benefit from the reassurance provided by the company's long-standing ‘no quibble' warranty policy.
