NC Fadal communications software available for download

The ease of use and flexibility of the Windows interface have come to Fadal Machining Centers' serial communications software in its newest release.

Called NC Fadal, the next generation software enables users to edit NC files in a familiar and professional editing environment, similar to software programs, such as MS Word, making it faster to edit programs and reducing training time required.

An easy-to-navigate tool bar enables the user to quickly select a functionality and a graphical status bar indicates progress of the task. Setup is faster and easier with an auto baud rate detection routine and the ability to perform simple diagnostic tests. NC Fadal is used with either RS-232 or RS-422 (32MP) protocols.

With a few clicks of a mouse, the user can download, upload or DNC a file. A trial version of NC Fadal software can be downloaded from www.fadal.com until March 1, 2001.

Fadal manufactures three lines of VMCs, two CNC controls and a line of rotary tables, indexers and pallet shuttle systems. Fadal VMCs range from 550 mm × 400 mm to 2,032 mm × 760 mm in table size and are utilized for cutting a broad range of materials, such as steel, titanium, aluminum, plastics and wood. Training and support programs are offered by Fadal, which include 24-hour response technical support teams and a global network of distributors trained to deliver world-class after-sales support.
