History:
The company was founded in 1943 by Frédéric Neukomm, he used to manufacture needles for sawing machines. In 1948, Walter Neukomm entered the company, he developped and patented the famous spiral slots, type NEUKOMM, in guide bushings.The company kept developping in this way since 1953.
During the 80' NEUKOMM developped new bushholders type RB for all type of CNC machines coming on the market and equipped automatics like Tornos-Bechler ENC162-164, Manurhin, Star, etc. A new concept of revolving bushholder arrived in 1994 with the NSA type. More and more exotic materials are used, like stainless steel or titanium. They are difficult to machine with standard non-rotating bushing because the bar seize easily. Our answer was to developp a revolving bushholder driven by the bar itself, compact, interchangeable beetween different machines at economic price.
We made several versions of the NSA, always improving our concept.it takes months to make trials by customers, "in vivo", to get results of our development. Therefore, now we have improved again this bushholder in changing cage-balls with rollers. They ensure a better distribution of charges and last longer, very appropriate at knurling or milling operations. It is also possible to lubricate the NSA directly and it is no more necessary to dismantle it. In 1999 we founded a new company in Canada, in order to answer quickly to our North American customers.
