Chevalier completes its die-sink EDM line with the recent addition of its new CNC EDM series
Chevalier completes its die-sink EDM line with the recent addition of its new CNC EDM series. With its PC-based conversational programming language, there are no computer codes to learn. There are on-screen help modes for all functions. First-time operators can quickly learn how to use the machine through an intensive training program that comes free with every purchase (for continental US customers only.) These new machines have linear slideways n XY Z axes and precision ballscrews on X & Y axes. There is a specially designed circuit for automatic arcing deletion. Control features include: 3D simultaneous movement, auto jump flushing, automatic edge finding and center point searching, electrode wear automatic compensation, orbit cut/side machining/auto enlarging and 4 kinds of electrode retracting modes (original path, center, 45°, Zp.) ATC and C axis are available as options. The maximum program storage is 600 files, at 500 blocks per file. Workpiece weight capacity starts at 1100lbs, with models available to handle workpieces weighing up to 9900lbs. Work tank volume (WxDxH) for the smallest model (CNC-326) is 29"x18"x 12" while the bigger models have 79"x39"x24" volume. The biggest machine can accommodate electrodes weighing up to 187lbs. Every machine is driven by heavy duty DC servo motor. Models are available with 30/50/75 and 100amp maximum output.
