OLYMPIA CNC Vertical Turning Center V40

Our new addition to the Olympia Vertical Turning line, model V40 has a39.4" diameter table and capable of turning diameter and swing of 57.1". The fixed crossrail can be provided from the factory with any height from 27.6" to 51.2". The V40 is equipped with an unusually strong ram at 8.3" square and a drive motor rated at 54HP continuous. This model is unique among competitive machines in cutting force of 6,740 lbs under full ram extension, a table torque of 16,660 ft.lb, 700 RPM, a load capacity of 15,400 lbs, and a cutting capability of 0.4" depth of cut in inconel.

The V40s base and column are constructed of polymer casting, which damps vibrations 10 times better, then cast iron. This translates directly into extended tool life, improved finish quality, and increased machine life.

A 12 position tool changer, full enclosure, and chip conveyor are standard equipment. Options include live spindle with C-axis, part and tool probe systems, and a range of manual or hydraulic chucks and automatic chuck changers.

Several V40 have already been sold and installed. Current applications include aerospace and tire mold plants.
