Sandvik Coromant CompanyGrip tool holding system is a new hydro-mechanical chuck for all applications. It provides a clamping force twice as high as shrink fit holders, and three times better than hydraulic chucks!

Close tolerances
Cutting edge run out of less than .00008" (measured at a length of three times the tool diameter).

Well suited to HSM
Due to it being balanced by design.

Easy to use
With either a manual hydraulic pump or fixed pump using standard compressed air. Both are available for making the tool change.

Safety
All cutting tools with cylindrical, Whistle Notch or Weldon shanks are safely retained in the chuck (even if only half the tool length is clamped). Extreme clamping force prevents the tool from slipping (and as the mechanism is self-locking, no hydraulic pressure is retained in the mechanism during machining).
