PS Series Belt-Driven Spindles

Recognized worldwide as a leader in high-speed rotary equipment, including small machine tool spindles, NSK has just developed their own line of belt-driven spindles - the PS Series. With increased spindle rigidity, the PS Series performs cutting, as well as grinding operations. The PS Series is designed for high-speed, high-precision applications on screw machines, gang style lathes and special purpose machines.

NSK America's new belt-driven spindles are available in sizes ranging from ø20 mm (0.8") to ø60 mm (2.4"). Three types are included in the PS Series: PSA, standard spindles for high-speed precision grinding and machining operations; PST, tapered front end spindles for large grinding wheels; and PSB, air bearing spindles for high-speed precision grinding and small diameter cutting.

The PSA and PST types are offered in three styles to accommodate specific RPM ranges.

A standard PSA or PST version featuring ball bearings; a high-speed PSA or PST version featuring high-speed steel bearings; and a high-speed PSA or PST ceramic version featuring ceramic bearings.
