Quick Change Tooling System

Acu-Rite Incorporatedquick change tooling system is designed for manual milling machines with an R-8 spindle. It includes a complete set of R-8 collets, collet closers, toolholders, hardware, and a tool tray enabling machinists to make changes in a matter of seconds. Inserting a toolholder into the patented locking mechanism is as simple as lifting and then releasing the quill handle. No hammers or wrenches are required. Acu-Rite Incorporatedsystem's special drawbar assembly replaces the milling machine's existing drawbar and installs directly into the R-8 spindle. A preset die spring included with the drawbar assembly ensures precise tool retention and maximum repeatability with every tool change. Its constant gripping force holds collets and tools firmly in place without damaging them. The system's full size toolholders are versatile enough to hold the single- and double-ended tools machinists already in use.
