Charmilles Technologies introduces the Robofil 230, a submerged wire EDM machine that delivers precision even when machining under difficult conditions
Applying knowledge gained from many years of building high-end models, Charmilles Technologies, the world's leading producer of EDM machines, introduces the Robofil 230, a submerged wire EDM machine that delivers precision even when machining under difficult conditions. Please see the Robofil 230 when you stop by the Charmilles booth at EASTEC – booth number 5345.

Charmilles quality can be delivered to the customer interested in value. The Robofil 230 is a cost-effective solution for delivering predictable results.

The Robofil 230 achieves angles of 30 degrees regardless of Z position. When this flexibility is combined with the advantages of submerged wire EDM, the Robofil 230 enjoys exceptional taper capability, making it the machine of choice for a broad spectrum of moldmaking and mechanical engineering applications. The Robofil 230 features a powerful system capable of draining the stainless steel worktank in 30 seconds or less. In addition, the Robofil 230 comes with a fixed table designed to provide ready access to the workpiece and facilitate workpiece positioning. Precision is delivered up to a workpiece weight of 1,100 pounds.

Machining parameters and wire tension are adjusted before each change in machining direction by the Robofil 230's Profil-Expert. This ensures the precision of sharp corners and small radii while maintaining the same clearance, a characteristic that is especially important in mold and stamping die applications. Reliable and completely automatic, Profil-Expert is compatible with all the available cutting technologies.
