International Metrology Systems, Inc. Measure feature in the Virtual DMIS CMM software enables a CMM to intuitively determine the desired measurement without the need for operator input. Built into the software with special algorithms, the feature lets the user touch the part with the probe and the software does the rest. Active on both manual and CNC CMMs, the feature is valid for point, line, plane, circle, cylinder, cone, and sphere. Prismatic features can also be fully inspected without the traditional PC interaction.
The software provides the power of PC-based 32-bit technology and combines the latest software development tools, CAD, and CMM industry standards to enable seamless collection, analysis, visualization, and communication of quality data throughout the manufacturing environment. It also provides graphical programming, intelligent measuring, surfacing, pictorial output and SPC, fully linking 3D CAD data with the CMM inspection process. The software is also available on articulated arm CMMs.
