Software for Toolpath Generation for Five-axis Milling
The new software now offers mold, tool, and die makers the ability to calculate toolpaths on the entire CAD model with automatic collision checking and avoidance, as well as special features for high-speed machining.
The software also incorporates expanded multi-axis functionality, including drilling, pocketing, profiling, "smart" roughing, contouring, swarf cutting, normal to surface with lead/lag, left/right tilt angle control, an dull gouge avoidance. In addition, there are new capabilities specifically created for engraving, hole making, and special five-axis machining operations for impellers, blisks and airfoils, as well as for molds, dies, tire molds, and patterns where the tool-axis vector is aimed through a controlling surface, two contours, or point and contour.
The software offers advanced toolpath management, which provides total control over creation, modification, and five-axis simulation and verification of all NC operations. It is well suited for use by the automotive mold, tool, and die industry, as well as the aerospace industry and consumer plastics market.
