Solid Modeling and Machining Software

CNC Software, Inc.nd NC programmers can produce streamlined solids with a new hybrid solid modeler. Called Mastercam Solids, this module can be added on to other Mastercam products. When combined with the Mastercam Mill module, this package provides fully integrated solid modeling and machining.

The program is based on the Parasolid kernel and provides simple solids creation for flexible 3D modeling. Solids functions include solid body construction, automated filleting and chamfering, thin-wall creation, and shelling and volumetric data. In addition, Fast Boolean operations allow you to add, remove, or combine solids. The history tree lists all operations and parameters to make tracking, reordering, and editing easier. In addition, you can import Parasolid files as solids and machine them within Mastercam Mill.

This tool also uses the Mastercam surface and wireframe modeling functions. Built-in translators include Parasolid, SAT, IGES, VDA, DXF, CAD, STL, and ASCII.

The program runs under Windows NT, 98 and 95.
